Alessio Lisci: "We aimed for the win, but every road point is important"
Osasuna head coach Alessio Lisci addressed the media after his team's 0-0 draw against Real Oviedo, emphasizing the importance of earning road points.
“We wanted to earn points away from home, which we hadn’t done previously, so it was crucial to break that negative streak,” Lisci said. “We aimed for the win, but in the end, we settled for the point.”
He acknowledged the significance of the result, stating, “Of course, we wanted to win, but every road point is valuable, especially when it helps us overcome a difficult period. We’re taking a point home; we desired more, but we have to appreciate this result.”
Reflecting on the match, Lisci noted, “I thought we were the better side in the first half. It might not have been fair, but we could have taken the lead. In the second half, however, we were a bit quick in our breaks and a little late on our second attempts, which hindered us.”
When asked about potentially changing his system of play, he responded, “We played well, but there’s always room for improvement. We managed to keep a clean sheet and create some chances, which is encouraging.”
